READ: The Mangle Street Murders by M.R.C. Kasasian

For those of you who have been around, you will remember of the article about the Peter Grant's series starting with The Rivers Of London. When I purchased this book that is what I had in mind.
Over the Holiday period, I read the Christmas pudding by Agatha Christie and took the time to watch quite too many period drams. Too be short, the stars were aligned for me to get this specific book.
A young woman, March Middleton, is left to the care of a taciturn man called Sidney Price.
from the very start, you understand this isn't your typical crime book and mostly, this is a funny book. A lot of irony and sarcasm pave the story mainly thanks to the witty young woman.

On a very different note, but which I really want to point out, the cover is especially nice. Pardon the materialistic view but let us not lie, many people purchased a book only in regard to the summary and image on the cover. It is the Alice side of us, loving images in books, which reveals itself when we get a new book.
